19 before 2019

Let me introduce to my wee Irish friend Laura Hutchinson.  Ok, I am not really positive that she is a fae folk but this girl really knows how to get her sh!t together. In fact, she is so good at it she has a blog and YouTube site to prove it.

I am currently a member of Laura’s Facebook Group (The Secret Society of Magical Unicorns) where I got introduced to 18 before 2018. The gist was, find eighteen items or to-do’s that you would want to complete before the new year.

Unlike a resolution or goal, these were the tasks that you have been putting off for far too long. For example, one of the things I wanted to accomplish was meeting up with the BFF. Though we live in the same state and speak to each other every day – we don’t get a lot of face to face time. With this in mind I created the start of the 19 Before 2019 list, which includes a Galentine’s Day for me and the BFF.

Here’s a peek at my list

  • Kon Mari mini purges (more to come on this later)
  • Create and complete six illuminated scrolls
  • Read 12 business related books
  • Complete all twelve months of One Little Word
  • Galentine’s with my mOnkey

So, what are you waiting for? Grab a pen and notebook! What is on your list?

Goal Setting, 19 before 2019

The Gypsy Soul with an Accountant Heart

Oh I yearn to be a wild & free bohemian woman – a wild at heart kind of woman. Who throws caution to the wind and goes with the flow.  But I’m not. I may stick my nose up at you and go on my own journey but I do so with utter caution that would drive a saint crazy.

I have an opportunity at this time of my life to lean away from the norm and forge my own path. I think it is time to embrace with weirdness I’ve held aside and become a tree-hugging, carnivore, free-spirited middle-aged spinster I am meant to be.

As the year comes to a close, I am reflecting upon how some things are changing and how much of what I do remains the same. There has been much progress with my health. Yet, there is so much more I need to change (the whole “take your vitamins” & “drink your water” thing).

Next week is Halloween, but for us Celts it’s the beginning of a new year in the Celtic calendar. I am going to use this time to work on new goals and take some to time to really delve into what I want to accomplish with my life over the next three months to three years and beyond.

Are you ready for the new year? Why wait till January? Let’s start now!!
