It’s so cliché, but I’m going to say it “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”. Even the arid desert of Arizona has the sparkle of twinkle lights everywhere! Our stockings are hung off our bookcases with care…you know the rest.
I am going on vacation too! Well, the blog is. I like to take the time between Christmas and New Years to get content ready for next year, blah, blah, blah. But, today, as I sat down to write…I made an executive decision to just give myself a whole month to take care of an ever growing needs list of items that the blog, vlog and so forth is needing.
The schedule that I set up for myself is actually working pretty well and I’m not going to mess too much with how I have it all planned. In 2017, I want to put in to practice all the things that I have been meaning to implement and grow this “keep” into an Empire.
This is where you come in dear readers. Give me your feedback! what do you want to see more of? less of? expand my topics to? leave out? This is where I take the road less travelled in regards to my digital journey…so bring it!
With that I am going to leave with, have a very Merry Christmas and a glorious New Year.
I love the weekend after Thanksgiving! My home is in disarray with boxes of Christmas decorations! It’s when the Christmas dishes replace the everyday dishes and all the memories of Christmas past are lovingly displayed. I am half way through my shopping (waiting for Cyber Monday to hit) and am so ready for my second favorite holiday of the year! (My other favorite holiday is my birthday…I like to celebrate any day you give me presents as a holiday!)
The Christmas tree theme this year is Homemade Christmas. We will only be adding ornaments made by us (ok, made by my sister) and maybe a few hand-made ones we have found over the years. My loft will be black & silver for the bedroom area with red & silver in the master bath!
Oh and Santa, I can explain…EVERYTHING!!!

The damn holiday commercials!! It’s time to write lists and bust out the decorations. I am so not ready!!! I need to start on some hand-made decorations as this years tree theme is all about handmade ornaments. There are so many beautifully made items that i have been given over the years that I thought it would be awesome to show them off. I have a small apartment so I don’t want to get to overwhelmed with decorations. I also need to work on some handmade wrapping paper…oh and and and
I need an Advent Calendar, most assuredly!
Something decorative for the windows
Something for outdoors perhaps?
With the help of a planner, of course
I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas! I hope you and yours have a wonderful day filled with great memories.
I am taking the next week off the blog to plan my content for the new year. Enjoy the new year and peace to you all!
I love Christmas, but I hate wrapping presents. So much so that I put all the Christmas presents on top of the washing machine so I would be forced to wrap before I could clean my clothes. I end up with paper cut too short, wimpy bows and lackluster presentation. So, this year I did it my way.
Not one present was wrapped! Thank heaven for tissue paper and gift bags! My living room is now awash with tissue paper and festive bags. No more chasing the cats as they steal yet another bow off a present. Best of all, I am all done, done, done!
Just seven more days!!!!
I leave you with this….my favorite Christmas song from the Waitresses
