I hope you all had a safe and wonderful New Year. I am excited about 2013. 2012 was a bit of a roller coaster with many ups and downs. I think my year was one of learning, re-setting and limitations. None of these are bad things and I feel quite encouraged for the new year.
I continually find myself drawn to blogging and think I have a wondrous opportunity to create a wonderful place for myself and readers. I chose not to make any personal resolutions this year. Instead I aim to devote my time and blog to stewardship. It is defined as “the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care”.
So in order to bring a focus onto my blog I decided to create a sphere of stewardship that I hope will expand my horizons and my faith. The blog won’t change too much. I will just be switching away from Abundance, Devotion and Sustainability. I mean to expand upon things that I have started and add few new traditions along the way. In order to help with this new journey I will be including Sarah Ban Breathnach’s Mrs. Sharps Traditions. It is a book on Victorian family traditions that I picked up years ago. Her book will be a great help with my journey. Her book does dwell on faith, family, money and volunteerism. Seems like a perfect road map for me!!
I know that the last few months have been somewhat of crushing to my spirit. Learning to cope with a chronic illness has been an all encompassing issue for me. I have learned though, that I have to have a life of purpose and meaning. God does not give us more than we can handle. He gives us purpose and leads us down new paths when the world blocks our way.
I will leave you with my favorite verse from the bible. And I hope that God blesses you in the New Year!!
